“Best enjoyed when you own Annual Passes”

12 Month Pass options at The Butchart Gardens

As others mention, it is a bit pricey unless you get an annual membership, but the gardens are absolutely beautiful, and if you can coordinate your visit with a special event, such as we did, it is well worth the price. My companion, who lived in Saanich, had a pass, and we went to attend an evening symphony "Concert in the Gardens", but arrived in the afternoon to browse the gardens first, reserve our seats, and then have a picnic dinner just before the concert started. I would gladly have spent the admission fee just for the concert, conducted by the Vic SO's young, beautiful conductress, so the gardens tour was all gravy. I had previously visited the gardens for their Christmas presentation featuring "The Twelve Days of Charistmas", and although the agricultureal display is muted in that season, the light displays were lovely, and they kept you busy trying to find the various features from the carol for each of the 12 days. We were still looking for #12 as we drove out --- under 12 arches, each with a Drummer Boy on it!
