The Dungarees
In a genre dominated by solo artists, The Dungarees stand out as a 5-man brotherhood, dedicated to their love of traditional, high energy country music.

They have a definitive musical mandate; Take the undeniable lyrical styling, twangy telecaster and steel guitar that they love from classic country, and inject it with modern intensity and pop sensibility.

All five members of this traditional country music outfit are essential players in a number of different national & international recording artists bands as well as their own original bands (Robb Angus in The Wheat Pool, James Murdoch of Adam Gregory Band, his solo project and Darrek Anderson of The Guaranteed) or essential members in others (Ben Shillabeer in The Boom Chucka Boys, Kiron Jhass in The Uncas) The Dungarees have had a great deal of touring and recording experience to call on.

They’re dedicated to showing an audience a fantastic time and making sure the crowd enjoys themselves as much as the band does on stage; miss them at your own peril.

“Great musicianship onstage, …obvious talent and chemistry between the five of them”
– Mike Bell – Calgary Herald

“One of the best country bands to come out of Alberta in years. They’re the bastard sons of Waylon Jennings’ band, The Waymores.” – Clayton Bellamy – Member of The Road Hammers and DJ on CISN radio

Watch and listen to them perform The Hard Way in this lyric video. They are even better in the flesh - see them at 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 30th on the Concert Lawn.
