Flower and Garden Report June 4, 2015

Roses in early June

Garden Report for the period of June 4  – June 11, 2015

A common question that I hear is “When does summer in the garden actually start?” Well, I don’t really have an answer, other than what the calendar tells us! What I can say however, is that our summer floral display is off to an early start to and we are beginning to see the first blooms from the hybrid tea roses in our fabulous rose garden.

This week we are putting the finishing touches on our summer display as all of the hundreds of hanging baskets and container plantings have been changed out with fresh and creative combinations that provide colourful highlights to the overall garden display. As always, these changes are completed well before most visitors arrive in the morning to help create the illusion that changes occur magically, as we do our very best not to impact the visitor experience.

You will find that the vibrancy and vitality of the new season is almost tangible as the fresh new plantings take root and begin their season of providing one of the most spectacular floral displays that you will find anywhere in the world. We invite you to come out and see and experience for yourself what all the excitement is about!
