Flower and Gardens Report August 19, 2016

Hanging Baskets

The heat is on! This past week has been the hottest week of the year for us and it looks like nothing but sunshine is in the forecast! The weather has been perfect for our plants as they continue to grow rapidly and produce an abundance of new flowers. In order to help facilitate the production of new flowers, our gardeners work diligently to remove any spent blooms (commonly called ‘deadheading’), which also keeps the display looking fresh and clean.

What really begins to catch my eye at this time of the year is our incredible assortment of exquisitely designed hanging baskets. An abundance of baskets grace our Waterwheel Square hanging from the pergolas and from the buildings that surround the square. These delightful creations will continue to grow, becoming even more beautiful as the season moves on.

The colour in the garden right now is phenomenal and there is simply not enough room in this weekly blog to describe the incredible beauty that you will experience when you come out and visit us.
