Flower Report for June 26 2014

The Rose Garden continues to impress with a spectacular collage of colour and fragrance that delights the senses. Delphiniums have been planted around this garden to provide a striking and colourful backdrop to further enhance the experience. Throughout the entire gardens the summer bedding plant display is nearing its peak and the level of colour continues to increase every day. To complete the display you will also find a fascinating collection of hanging baskets, window boxes and container plantings that put the finishing touches on our buildings, patios and pathways - we even plant up the tops of our garbage cans! The perennial borders should not be overlooked as they back up the more formal bedding displays with exceptional colour, form and texture.

Highlights for this week include the giant Asiatic Lilies which are blooming in some of our perennial borders.
