The Butchart Chronicles : September 25, 2014

Flower Report for September 25, 2014

The garden is in fine form as we move into October as thousands of colourful chrysanthemums have added a fresh new glow to the display borders. The first of the Japanese maples are beginning show colour, giving us a taste of what is to come in the next month. Around the gardens you will find massive hanging baskets and container plantings from the summer which are literally overflowing and bursting with colour and foliage! Magnificent dahlias will delight you as you leave the Rose Carousel pavilion with an amazing diversity of colour, shapes and sizes with some of the blooms measuring more than 12” in diameter!
