Odyssey String Quartet, is back Sunday night, August 23, 2015, bringing a potpourri of classical, swing, and pop!

Odyssey's members play together in the Victoria Symphony and we are happy to host them again on August 30th!

Tori Lindsay - Born in Grimsby, ON, Tori began playing the violin at the tender ago of 9, continuing on in her studies at the University of Toronto. She holds a Masters degree in violin performance from Rice University. Tori is a member of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra (Principal Second Violin) and has performed wtih the Houston Symphone Orchestra, Opera and Ballet. She has a passion for chamber music and has worked closely with artists such as the St. Lawrence String Quartet, and the Mendelssohn Octet in a University of Toronto Faculty Artist's Concert! Tori has also distinguished herself onstage as an orchestral player and as a soloist.

Kay Cochran - Kay first discovered the sound of the viola at age 10 and has remained fascinated with it ever since. Playing in such diverse places as Korea, France, and the former Soviet Union, she studied as far afield as Paris and Montreal and as close to home as Banff. Kay is not only a member of Odyssey, but has worked in the chamber group Musaeus, and is an active member in the Victoria Symphony. Kay not only plays but she has taught at the University of Victoria, the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific, and at the University of Lethbridge Conservatory. Kay holds a MMus degree from McGill University and in her spare time likes biking and studying languages.

Christi Meyers - Born in Montreal and raised in northern Alberta, Christi studied at McGill, Western, and the Vancouver Academy of Music and is the Assistant Concertmaster of the Victoria Symphony, a member of Victoria Baroque Players, Galiano Ensemble, and the Odyssey String Quartet. During 2006-2010 Christi was on the music faculty at the University of Victoria. Since 2008 she has coached the violins of the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra. Abroad in 2010-11 she held the Assistant Concertmaster position with Sinfonia Rotterdam and was back in 2013 to play concerts with them, notably in Bogota, Columbia’s Beethoven festival: Bogota es Beethoven

Alisdair Money - Performing with the Victoria, Vancouver and Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestras, Alasdair has distinquished himself with the cello far and wide. He attended the Victoria Conservatory of Music and completed a BMus at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Studying in England at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama he received a post-grad diploma in cello performance. He has completed a MMus degree in cello performance from the University of Victoria. Alisdair has played in far ranging places from Banff, AB to England and continental Europe.
