Pink Martini Back After A Long Absence

Pink Martini with singer China Forbes
Latin, neo-classical, jazz, pop and lounge music all collide in a multicoloured collage of fabulous attire, cosmopolitan sound and just enough whimsy to keep one entertained but also guessing; what comes next is always a mystery, and guaranteed to be a visual and listening delight. Born from the mind of band leader Thomas Lauderdale of Portland, Oregon in 1994, Pink Martini has only been to Victoria once -- in 2008.  Enjoy a rare treat as they perform on Monday August 18, 2014 at The Butchart Gardens.

Pink Martini's live show conjures a fantasy of ageless glamor. This is formal play, baroque and zany, ritzy but also childlike. -- Jazztimes

One of the world's most elegant live bands. -- The Times (UK)

This is rich, hugely approachable music, utterly cosmopolitan yet utterly unpretentious. And it seems to speak to just about everybody .. from grade-schoolers to grandmothers to the young and hip and beautiful. -- The Washington Post

The Georgia Straight describes Pink Martini as "blending cocktail-flavoured jazz, classical, and gold-gilded pop". We encourage you to listen to the selection below - this band excites and relaxes as it titillates and teases the senses:
