MSN.com's travel section Holiday Travel Guide has featured The Butchart Gardens Christmas lights in a short slide show entitled "Lighting Up The World". The Gardens is featured along with images from such places as Jerusalem, Bogotá, London, Tokyo and Washington, DC.

The web site states "Whether candles, bulbs or LEDs, holiday lights brighten the season's long nights and remind us that the sun will soon return. Join the world in saying, ‘Let there be light.'"

"We are delighted with the honour of being recognized as one of the world's noteworthy holiday lighting displays," declared Dave Cowen, general manager of The Butchart Gardens.

The Magic of Christmas runs from December 1 to January 6 each year and includes the 12 Days of Christmas displays, an outdoor ice skating rink, plus evening caroling and festive brass.
