Suggested Itineraries
All itineraries are designed to begin and end in Victoria.
Lunch
In the morning leave Victoria, taking the scenic hour-long
drive along gorgeous coastline and farmland to The Butchart Gardens.
Arrive at The Butchart Gardens and enjoy a leisurely stroll around 55 acres of
breath-taking gardens (two hours) followed by lunch in one of the three restaurants available. (Each restaurant has different seasonal availability.) Take a short drive up Benvenuto
Avenue to Butterfly
Gardens. Spend 45 minutes enjoying the beautiful orchid display
and thousands of free-flying butterflies. From Butterfly Gardens travel
south along the scenic West Saanich Road, stopping for an hour at Glendale Garden, 5 acres of garden in a
peaceful, rural environment. Continue South on West Saanich Road until in joins
HWY 17, drive back into Victoria (25 minutes) in time for dinner and an evening
stroll around the Inner Harbour.
Afternoon Tea
In the morning leave Victoria for a leisurely drive north along the scenic West
Saanich Road to Glendale Garden , 5 acres of garden
in in a peaceful, rural environment. After an hour-long visit
continue north on West Saanich Road to Butterfly Gardens.
Spend 45 minutes enjoying the beautiful orchid display and thousands of
free-flying butterflies. After your visit take a short drive down
Benvenuto Avenue to The Butchart Gardens for a leisurely stroll around 55 acres
of breath-taking gardens (two hours) followed by a delightful Afternoon Tea in
the Dining Room Restaurant . Drive back to Victoria on
the scenic hour-long drive along gorgeous coastline and farmland in time for dinner and an evening stroll around the Inner
Harbour.
Dinner
(This is a summer time itinerary.) In the morning leave Victoria, taking the scenic 60 minute drive
along gorgeous coastline and farmland to the charming seaside
community of Sidney by the Sea . Enjoy some
window-shopping, a stroll along the shore and a delicious lunch before taking
a drive through rural Saanich Peninsula to Butterfly Gardens.
Spend 45 minutes enjoying the beautiful orchid display and thousands of
free-flying butterflies. After your visit take a short drive down
Benvenuto Avenue to The Butchart Gardens for a leisurely stroll around 55 acres
of breath-taking gardens (two hours) followed by dinner in one of the three
restaurants available . (Each restaurant has different seasonal availability.) After dinner see the Gardens in a
completely different light as you enjoy the Night Illuminations and seasonal outdoor
entertainment.
