Did you know we have 26 greenhouses spread over approximately 2 acres?

November is the time when we are able to give you a tour of this normally private area.

Each tour is lead by a staff gardener who will show you the different styles and inner workings of the green houses.

• See samples of our three main propagation methods used in seed production, vegetative plant production and over wintering of plant material.
• Gain insight into our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program including biological controls and improved culturing practices.
• Learn of the very seasonal nature of our indoor growing environment and some of the challenges in producing our diverse floral displays.

The tour of our greenhouses takes approximately 1 hour. Please note tours may be canceled without notice when made impossible by conditions beyond our control.

The tours are available every Friday at 2 pm (new!), and Saturday and Sunday in November at 10 am, noon and 2 pm. The tours are offered at no charge, but admission to The Gardens is required. 

Walking is required and involves uneven terrain and narrow spaces. Due to the nature of the tour children under 12, those in wheelchairs, and pets cannot be accommodated.

Starting October 17th, reservations can be made by calling 250-652-4422 local 203, Monday through Friday, 9am - 3pm. On day of each tour, if there is availability, visitors can join the tours on a first come first served basis at the Information Centre. Tours are limited to a maximum of 15 persons.
