David Hunwick

Born in England, David Hunwick studied Sculpture at Ravensbourne College. During this time, he was selected to take part in the New Contemporaries Exhibition at the Whitworth Gallery, Manchester, and he also had public artwork placed at the Civic Centre, Bromley, Kent and the renowned Yorkshire Sculpture Park. His work can now be found in public parks, public buildings, and in private collections in the UK, Canada, Australia, United States and Jersey. David worked as Artist-in-Residence near Stirling, Scotland, and exhibited regularly at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, and other galleries. Upon moving to BC, David produced a number of bronzes in association with the Harman Foundry. He now lives and works in Victoria, BC, producing sculptures in various media. In 2007 he won the 'Best 3-D Award' at the Sidney Fine Art Show for "The Last Dance". David is on the teaching faculty of University Canada West Academy of Fine Arts offering sculpture workshops. |
