Seed & Gift Store
Our mail order seed catalogue began in 1920 when Jennie Butchart began packaging seed to satisfy myriad requests from visitors world wide. Still individually packaged by hand, our seed business today provides winter work for our many dedicated staff.
Open every day, you will find yourself greeted by knowledgeable, friendly staff among 800 sq. m. (8,600 sq. ft.) of gifts and souvenirs including an impressive range of products made by local artisans. Perhaps of special interest are items for the gardener, jewellery and clothing. Our experience shows most visitors spend approximately 45 minutes in the gift store.
Did you know? We permit dedicated shoppers to enter The Gardens for 30 minutes to shop in the Seed & Gift Store. When you arrive at the Admission Gate tell the attendant you wish to only visit the Seed & Gift store. You will be directed to our bus lot parking. Purchase an admission ticket and depart within 30 minutes and your ticket price will be refunded. During the Magic of Christmas, Special Event days and on Fireworks Saturdays complimentary shopping is permitted from 9am to 3pm only.
