Wednesday February 13 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where is it?
At The Butchart Gardens; in the Coffee Shop, Information Centre and Seed and Gift Store. Once you have parked or gotten off the bus, make your way to Waterwheel Square where you will find all three of these locations.
What should I bring?
Bring a resume or completed application form.
What types of positions are available?
Mainly seasonal positions within the following departments:
- Food Services: three restaurants provide front-of-house and back-of-house. Opportunities: hosting, bussing, serving and dish-washing, food prep, cooking/baking.
- Visitor Services: provides essential services such as admission collection, traffic/parking control, information services and grounds maintenance.
- Seed & Gift Store: provides retail and inventory opportunities – all feature extensive product knowledge and courteous service.
- Gardening: maintains award-winning floral displays year round by providing seasonal garden maintenance tasks. Physical fitness a requirement.
Will interviews and hiring take place?
No. This is your opportunity to meet with representatives from departments that have employment opportunities and drop off a resume or application. We will contact you after the job fair to set up an interview, should we feel your experience is a good fit for a given role.
What can I expect at the job fair?
Expect to meet our staff and learn more about The Gardens. After learning more about employment at The Gardens and each department that is hiring, you may drop a resume or completed application with them. Alternatively, you may apply online when you get home. Please do not expect to be interviewed or hired during the event.
