The Christmas Season Will Return to The Butchart Gardens
The Butchart Gardens has announced their Christmas season is returning this year with updated COVID-19 protocols. Mask, group-size and other important rules will need to be followed to ensure the safety of visitors and their families, as well as staff and their families.
Visitors will be required to purchase an admission ticket online for a designated entry date and time. Timed tickets will become available on October 22 at 9:00am at butchartgardens.com.
New dates and hours will be in effect: November 27 – January 6, the Admission Gate will be open from 3:30pm to 9:00pm, with viewing until 10:00pm. The Gardens will be closed on Christmas Day to allow staff to enjoy the day with their families.
The Dining Room Restaurant will be serving Afternoon Tea from 4:00pm – 5:00pm, and Dinner from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Reservations are recommended and may be made starting October 22 at: butchartgardens.com/restaurant/the-dining-room/ Admission to The Gardens is required.
The Coffee Shop will remain open with limited seating, and Annabelle’s Café will be open from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The Seed and Gift Store and Rose Carousel will also be open.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, the annual December 1st Light Up, Snowflake Exchange, Ice Skating, Festive Brass, Carolers and Blue Poppy Restaurant will not be available this year.
Pets are welcome from 8:00pm to 10:00pm only.
Visitors are required to wear masks or face coverings, at all times, while visiting The Gardens. Large groups are required to split up, with a maximum of 6 persons walking together.

The Butchart Gardens is an internationally renowned 55-acre (22 hectare) display garden located near Victoria, British Columbia. Created in 1904 by Jennie Butchart, and still privately owned and operated by family descendants, The Butchart Gardens is open daily, with something beautiful in every season and has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada.
